About ASAT.biz
The ASAT.biz Story
Derby and Peter worked together producing educational, info-advertisements and documentary programs for educational television, and a wide range of clients in Cumbria in the 1980s and 90s. When they moved to Scotland in 1999, the needs of the local community were very different. Not only had the funding for educational programs drastically reduced but the nature of business was almost exclusively tourist led.
It was through her experience of the creation and development of Ashwhin Balanced Living Centre, that Derby came up with the idea of turning their sights to website design and development, and other design and support needs of sole traders, home based businesses and small business.
Since 2004, they have been offering affordable custom web design, hosting, site development, graphic design, professional photography and supporting skills to help Argyll businesses establish themselves on the world wide web.

Derby Stewart-Amsden
Derby graduated with a BA with honours in Fine Art and Communications, and continued with graduate work in a diverse range of fields: Film and Television Production at Middlesex University (then Polytechnic); Training and Development at Sheffield University and Psychology at Lancaster University.
Her further training reflects the wide range of Derby's positions in the media, education, training and development, and Charitable organisations.
In 1999, Derby turned from employee to entrepreneur by creating and opening Ashwhin. This business has evolved from a local holistic therapy centre into a unique retreat, engaging and enjoying visitors from all around the world. Ashwhin continues to expand its services of de-stressing the world, and continues to integrate the design, artistic and literary elements of Derby's original vision.
