I’m new to the web and I don’t know where to begin, can you help?

Yes, of course. The simplest thing is to arrange a meeting - we never charge for the first consultation (in fact we rarely charge for subsequent meetings either as we see excellent client liason as part of our service). Even if you only have a rough idea of what you want, we should be able to advise you, or create the site for you.

How easy is it to sell things on my web site?

Very easy, and there are many different ways to do so - and we are always open to new opportunities for affordable shpping baskets, etc. You let us know what you want, and we'll find it for you.

I’ve designed my own web site, but it is due for an upgrade and I don’t have the time, how much will you charge?

As you know all the elements that you need to design a web site, you are in a great position to keep the prices down to the minimum. The more accurate and detailed and relevant the information and elements you supply us with, the less time it will take us to make your new site happen. Less design time costs less money. It’s that simple.

Normally sites brought to us for improvements will cost 10-30% less than our usual prices - and we keep these very competitive anyway. See prices page.

I have bought myself a web domain name, now what do I do?

You need two more things - Hosting which is a place to put your web site, and to design/build a web site. We can provide both or either. Then, you will need to have your domain name transferred to your hosting company - we'll be happy to help.

Excellent liaison. We are a family business, and we like what we do. We can offer all the great design that the big boys do, but still give personal time and attention to every client. It’s much easier to care when your clients have names and not numbers. And, we will admit if a job is bigger than we can easily tackle, because it is in our interest to make sure that every client gets what they want.

I just want a very small web site, maybe three or four pages. Do you have a minimum charge?

Yes, we have just started offering the Mini Site (1-4 pages). We will design this to your specifications, so that it reflects your business at a one off design cost of £95.00. See prices page.

I’d like to start with two pages right now, but I will want to add to them as I do more work. Can you make this happen for me?

Absolutely. Yes. We’ll charge you for the pages as they develop. The hosting can be at the minimum. What you will need to pay more for is the maintenance, because you will want us to add your work on a weekly or monthly basis. See prices page.

I want to be a part of the design process because I have very clear ideas of what I want, I just don’t want to have to do the technology bit myself, is this possible?

The more part of the design process you are, the better it is financially for you. The only BUT is that you will have to occasionally take our word for it if something cannot be done, or if we refuse to allow colour combinations on the basis that they render the site inaccessible.

I’m a sole trader and I am applying for a grant to develop my business. Can you give me an accurate estimate now and then wait for a few weeks to proceed?

Yes. There is no problem with this at all. However, if it takes more than nine calendar months for you to find funding, then there is just a chance that some of the prices will have changed - but not by much.

We want to get more members for our organisation, but its just a community interest group and the membership fee doesn’t stretch to paying a lot for a web site, can you give us web presence inexpensively?

At our discretion we can offer a 25% discount on the design to groups like yours. To help us keep the price down, your committee will have to decide together all the details of what to include. We will need the copy for each page supplied in full, preferred colours and any suggestions you have for look of the site with a clear idea of your target visitors.

If you want to attract more members to your group then we would recommend that you include some information about the ethics and purpose of your group, explain the advantages of membership, who is welcome to join and what you charge for membership.

We will also need to have a copy of your logo and any motto or by-line that you use to describe yourselves. We are able to supply graphic design and assistance with copy writing, but of course this will cost more. But if you do not have a logo and motto, then we would recommend that you have one created for you, and we offer very competitive prices. See Discounts page for examples.

Our group has charitable status, will you do a web site for free?

As a micro business, we are not in a position to offer our services for free. However we will look at charity work on a case by case basis and do our very best to be generous and helpful.

However it might be advisable for you to research further for a design firm. I believe that there are some who do work for free for registered charities.
